Main Verse: James 3:1-17
v.2 For if we could control our tongues, we would
be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
Our tongue is really
powerful. With words that come from it, we can wound or hurt, and uplift or
encourage.
v.3 We can make a large horse go wherever we want.
Our tongue influences our
life and other people’s lives.
v. 10 Blessing and cursing come pouring out the
same tongue.
You must
all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. James 1:

Being Christians, we must
be very careful with what we say. What comes out of our mouth is our
testimony. Whether it is good or bad, it
will reflect the Christ in our life.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your
tongue you are only fooling yourself. James 1:26
